New drawn-arc stud welding guns A 16, A 22 and A 25
HBS Bolzenschweiss-Systeme GmbH & Co. KG recently presented three new drawn-arc, stud welding guns: the A 16, A 22 and A 25 models. Key features of these innovations are universal use with a large welding range, from short-cycle drawn arc to standard drawn arc with the A 16 and the possibility to use the A 22 and A 25 for through deck welding.
These newly developed models facilitate highly-precise work at high welding rates and welding sequences while maintaining optimum quality and excellent repeat accuracy. They are particularly well suited for processing thicker metal sheets from approx. 2 mm. The integrated length compensation is able to mechanically compensate for any length tolerances - the A 16 up to 6 mm, the A 22 and A 25 models to at least 9 mm. Their robust, impact-resistant plastic casing makes all of the models ideal for use at construction sites.
Depending on the model, the welding range for stud diameters is between 3 and 25 mm; the stud length is between 10 and 390 mm. The stud length can be freely set. The lift can be variably adjusted in notched increments of 0.25 mm up to a height of 6 mm (A 16: up to 4 mm). Additional technical features:
- Multi-position piston damping and lift damper for optimum reproducibility of the very high welding quality
- Spirit level for vertical positioning relative to the component
- Production-proven mechanics
- Low heating due to external welding current cable, resulting in very high welding rates
- Screwable cover caps on lift adjustment and piston damping protect against contamination, making the devices extremely robust for work under the most challenging conditions
The ergonomic models impress with their low weight (2 kg without cable) and easy-to-handle dimensions (260 x 74 x 220 mm). This compact construction in ergonomic design and low weight ensures fast, safe and fatigue-free work. Furthermore, all relevant safety standards are, of course, guaranteed at a high level.
